Welcome to my world! It is one of wonder and fun!
I am currently a second year paraprofessional for an elementary school in Stafford, VA. I work with the Special Education students and love watching them grow on a daily basis.
I am the mother of a seven year old boy and a four year old girl which means I can do a million things at once and have eyes in the back of my head. It also means that I'm busier than a two-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I have been married for 14 years and he's just about trained right. I love dogs, reading, knitting, crocheting, Monty Python and chocolate.
I stumbled on to a love of teaching so I am seeking my Teaching License and Masters at the University of Mary Washington. My first class is Information Technology. Great. I go back to school after 23 years and I'm supposed to jump in with both feet and create a website full of the things I'm doing. I just hope I can keep my head above the water. The last time I was in college I didn't use a computer, I used a typewriter!
Well I got the website up and looking more like I think I want it now. As I get more confident with the site I'll make sure to add additional pages and tidbits that have absolutely nothing to do with this particular class, but will hopefully impress a future interviewer.
